Freshfields US LLP is seeking a Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join the firm’s US Legal Department. The role focuses on managing business acceptance, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, sanctions, and reputational risk across the firm’s US matters in a high standards environment.

The role requires a US-licensed lawyer with strong drafting, analytical and regulatory skills, and the ability to manage complex matters while collaborating with partners and staff across sectors.

Qualificações

• Must hold a US law degree and be admitted to practice.
• Experience in compliance, conflicts, risk management within a large international law firm.
• Excellent drafting skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work hybrid/have in-office presence in US offices.

Responsabilidades

• Advise the partnership on business acceptance issues including conflicts, confidential information, reputational and sanctions issues.
• Perform due diligence and reputational risk assessments of new clients and matters.
• Assist with drafting waivers and maintaining information barriers; review client engagement letters and guidelines.
• Answer questions on US law, regulations, ethics and regulatory compliance; assist with audits and external communications.
• Provide training on risk issues and contribute to firm-wide risk programs.
