Job summary

Urology Austin is seeking a Triage Clinician to join our centralized triage and contact center. You will evaluate patient needs by phone and electronic systems, document clinical information, and perform delegated non-licensed tasks under supervision.

The role is hybrid with on-site requirements as needed. Requirements include 2+ years in ambulatory clinical care, strong medical terminology knowledge, MA certification, and excellent communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical protocols, and urologic conditions.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer and triage incoming calls using Patient Sync and EMR.
• Log into phone systems daily and stay available during shifts.
• Document patient communication accurately in EMR and triage system.
• Coordinate follow-up on labs, imaging, procedures, or referrals.
• Provide standardized patient instructions and educate patients per protocol.
• Identify recurrent call patterns and escalate to clinical leadership.
