Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College seeks tutors to assist students across multiple campuses and online, enabling face-to-face or virtual tutoring to strengthen understanding in varied subjects and general college skills.

Tutors should be available during set office hours coordinated with the Area Tutoring Coordinator and the Tutoring Coordinator; the role is hybrid with campuses including Lexington, Danville, Lawrenceburg, Winchester, Georgetown, and Newtown Pike.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of the course you wish to tutor in or equivalent with a grade of A, or a faculty recommendation letter.
• 3.0 College GPA or letter of recommendation from an instructor.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with students who utilize Tutoring Services.
• Schedule and facilitate tutoring sessions with students.
• Work according to Area Tutor Coordinator and Tutoring Coordinator guidance to provide support for students.
• Complete annual training.
• Other duties as assigned.
