Gateway Community & Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for Professional Tutors. Tutors support students in mastering course content through various formats, including homework assistance, test preparation, and skill-building. The goal is to help students develop effective learning strategies and academic confidence.
We're currently seeking in-person tutoring support in the following subject areas:
Tutoring may occur in embedded class settings, walk-in sessions, or online formats. Tutors will work individually or in small groups and are expected to document their sessions. Additionally, tutors may be asked to design and lead success workshops related to their subject area. Professional Tutors are also expected to pursue ongoing professional development, including continuing education and participation in trainings and meetings. Work hours and modalities (online or in-person) will vary depending on organizational and student needs. Tutors may be assigned to different campus or center locations.
