Job summary

Emerson Personnel Group Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced, full-time Paralegal to join its Trusts & Estates practice. The role focuses on Pennsylvania and New Jersey estate administration and requires strong organizational skills and deadlines.

You will manage probate, tax filings, and fiduciary accounting, coordinate with clients and advisors, and use estate software such as OneSource and Lackner. Hybrid schedule after training, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience, with significant Pennsylvania estate administration experience required.
• Experience administering New Jersey estates required; New York estate administration experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of probate procedures, estate administration, fiduciary accounting, and tax filings.

Responsibilities

• Manage Pennsylvania and New Jersey estate administrations from inception through closing, including probate proceedings, asset/liability collection, tax return preparation and filing, accounting, and nonjudicial settlements.
• Monitor estate deadlines and ensure timely, efficient administration of all matters.
• Communicate regularly with clients, investment advisors, accountants, and other professional advisors.
• Prepare and file documents with Pennsylvania Orphans' Courts and New Jersey Surrogate Courts across various counties.
• Coordinate the execution and notarization of legal documents (notary license preferred).
• Maintain accurate case files and provide proactive support to attorneys throughout the estate administration process.
• Utilize estate administration software, including OneSource and Lackner (preferred).
