Job summary

Eviction Defense Collaborative (EDC) in San Francisco is seeking a Triage Specialist to be the first point of contact for clients seeking legal, rental assistance, or shelter advocacy. The role involves guiding clients to the correct department, coordinating with staff, and enabling remote intake services.

The position requires empathy, deescalation skills, and the ability to manage multiple urgent priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Fluent Spanish required to assist diverse clients.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to deescalate crises.
Strong communication and coordination with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

In-person and remote triage of clients (85%).
Identify services needed, prioritize urgent cases, and assign staff accordingly.
Handle calls and emails from the remote intake line; contact clients to determine needs.
Document interactions in Salesforce and route to RTC Coordinator as needed.
Determine appointment status and contact relevant staff.
Interpret eviction notices, leases, and income documents accurately.
Provide referrals and resources if eligible services are unavailable.
Attend weekly program meetings and provide clerical support.
Maintain notes and collaborate across departments.
Support with office signage and service communications.
