Job summary

Ruan is now hiring a Managed Transportation Intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time position that will work a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.

The internship provides exposure to routing optimization, carrier tracking, and continuous improvement projects within the transportation business. It is temporary, nonexempt/hourly, offering hands-on experience and collaboration with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Essential: strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in supply chain, transportation, accounting, HR, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing reports and presentation materials.
• Provide day-to-day activities focused on meeting internal and external customer needs.
• Fully support financial business case analysis.
• Participate in major cost and process improvement initiatives and projects.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
