Job summary

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Transportation Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience to join our Raleigh, NC office. The role supports data collection, condition assessments, and transportation design tasks across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• North Carolina PE Licensure (preferred)
• Experience with roadway transportation projects including cost estimating, specs, and highway plans.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and support existing condition analyses and alternative evaluations.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments and roadway modeling.
• Perform cross section and superelevation design.
• Design roadside barriers and ADA curb ramps.
• Prepare MOT/traffic-related plans and bid packages.
