Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer in a hybrid role based in the Phoenix area. You will apply your knowledge of conductors, hardware, insulation, and structures to design lines from 69kV to 765kV, perform structural and foundation analyses, and develop cost estimates.

This position requires a BS from an ABET-accredited program and 3+ years in transmission line engineering. Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and MS Office is essential, with relocation support available

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Three or more years of transmission line engineering experience.
• Experience with design techniques for technical plans and drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Office and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
• Perform structural analysis and design of various line structures.
• Develop foundations designs and conductor selection studies.
• Model lines in PLS-CADD and calculate conductor sags.
