Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Planner - Transmission focus to join our Environmental Planning and Permitting team in the Midwest. This hybrid role can be based in multiple offices, including Cleveland, with a strong focus on environmental permitting for energy infrastructure.

You will lead or support permitting efforts, work with regulatory agencies, and collaborate with a national team to deliver NEPA documents, routing analyses, and siting studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning or related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience in electric transmission or renewable energy permitting.
• Ability to travel for agency and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support environmental planning and regulatory filings for energy infrastructure projects across the Midwest.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and client coordination on small to mid-sized projects.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and proposals.
