Job summary

ERMCO, a leading distributor transformer manufacturer, seeks a Sales Engineer in Athens, GA to bridge customer needs with engineered electrical solutions. You will work with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and customers to translate specifications into manufacturable quotes and solutions.

Hybrid role in Athens with relocation assistance available. Candidates should have 3–5 years in the field, a engineering degree, and strong communication to support technical and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing customer relationships and accounts.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Identify technical needs and recommend transformer solutions.
• Review specs, RFQs, drawings to develop complete quotes.
• Respond quickly to RFQs with coordinated technical clarifications.
• Develop and validate transformer bills of materials.
• Evaluate designs against standard offerings and constraints; propose alternatives.
• Collaborate with sales to plan complex opportunities with pricing alignment.
• Provide product recommendations with clear value and pricing.
• Understand costing and margin impacts to support competitive quotations.
• Support alliances and coordinate with internal teams.
• Facilitate customer plant visits and technical discussions.
