Job summary

ERMCO is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer for its Athens, GA plant to support development, setup and execution of electrical test capabilities for distribution and dry-type transformers. The role involves hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and working with design and manufacturing teams to stand up testing processes and equipment that meet ERMCO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5–6 years of experience in electrical engineering focused on transformer testing or design.
• Extensive experience with electrical testing of transformers and related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE, IEC, CSA, NEMA standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical testing on transformers and components following ERMCO standards.
• Design and develop electrical test systems for distribution and dry-type transformers.
• Analyze test results and provide root-cause analysis for failures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to integrate designs into production.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Master’s degree (a plus)
