Placements24 is recruiting a meticulous Trade Finance Specialist for a renowned international bank in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will manage documentary credits (LCs), collections, and guarantees, ensuring strict adherence to UCP 600 and related rules.

You will support relationship managers, verify documents, and communicate with clients and correspondent banks, in a hybrid work setup balancing in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with trade finance software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process, examine, and issue documentary credits (LCs) in line with UCP 600 and ISBP.
• Handle international and domestic collections in compliance with rules.
• Manage applications for bank guarantees and standby LCs.
• Verify shipping documents for accuracy and LC compliance.
• Communicate with clients, banks, and other trade parties.
• Identify risks or discrepancies in trade finance instruments.
• Ensure AML and KYC compliance across processes.
• Provide guidance to relationship managers on trade finance products.
