Job summary

The Trade Operations & Data Analyst at Dodge & Cox will join the Investment Operations team to manage security reference data, characteristics data and asset data quality, supporting new initiatives and operational strategy.

You will collaborate with Investment Operations, Technology, Research Analysts, Portfolio Managers and Traders to document workflows, resolve data exceptions and ensure data accuracy across trading and compliance systems.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree with an excellent academic record.
• 7+ years of prior investment data experience, with preference for security reference master exposure.
• Experience with major data and analytics platforms (PACE, RDC, Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg, Yield Book).
• Strong ability to develop and articulate strategies and drive execution.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to work independently and within a team; adept at stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and setup security master reference data accurately.
• Analyze and resolve data exceptions to ensure data quality for trading and compliance systems.
• Communicate data inquiries clearly with stakeholders across the firm.
• Interface with front office to ensure integrity of investment data and pricing.
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives and assess data needs for new products.
• Evaluate processes and propose improvements for efficiency and quality.
