Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Trade Compliance Analyst to support import trade compliance, including HTS classifications, COO determinations, and tariff assessment. The role blends hands-on execution with analytical oversight to ensure accurate, auditable import transactions.

You will work with Customs Brokers and internal partners to manage post-entry activity, data integrity, and regulatory compliance, with a preferred hybrid schedule in Lake Forest, CA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in import trade compliance, customs operations, or trade compliance analysis.
• Proven experience in HTS, COO determinations, trade remedy programs, and post-entry activities.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, tariffs, broker entry processes, and audits.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong Microsoft Office skills required.
• Familiarity with QAD and/or SAP preferred; Customs Broker licenses or trade certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine, maintain, and validate HTS classifications and Country of Origin for determinations.
• Maintain and support tariff and trade remedy programs and assess applicability of preferential programs.
• Oversee Customs Broker entry activity and post-entry reviews to support audit readiness.
• Maintain import records and support audit readiness through documentation review and data validation.
• Analyze ACE reports and other data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Serve as escalation point for complex or high-risk compliance issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information for compliant import/export activity.
• Follow established trade compliance policies, procedures, tools, and documentation standards.
• Perform other trade compliance duties and analyses as needed.
