Job summary

Carlyle Group is seeking a hands-on Threat Detection Engineer to strengthen how threats are identified, understood and detected. You will lead detection engineering, threat intelligence processes and automation, working with security partners to improve outcomes.

The role includes detection content lifecycle ownership, production-ready analytics, and cross-team coaching to advance Carlyle’s threat detection strategy. A hybrid in-office requirement of four days per week is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• 5-7 years of information-security or cybersecurity experience.
• 4+ years in threat detection engineering or threat intelligence.
• Hands-on experience creating production detections and translating intel into detections.

Responsibilities

• Own the detection content lifecycle and improve alert quality and data quality.
• Develop detections across endpoint, identity, email, network, cloud, and apps.
• Translate threat intelligence into prioritized detection and response requirements.
• Lead automation playbooks and use AI-assisted methods to accelerate detection development.
