Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking an experienced Territory Underwriter to manage and grow a designated commercial lines territory. You will evaluate risk, price new and renewal business, and build strong agency relationships to drive profitable growth across the region.

In this role you will collaborate with Distribution partners and internal leaders, travel within the territory, and participate in virtual meetings to ensure responsive service and strategic execution.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• AU or CPCU designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto and Workers Compensation.
• Strong understanding of underwriting practices, risk assessment, and policy structures.
• Familiarity with insurance policy language and coverage forms.
• Solid understanding of working with data to support underwriting decisions.
• Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skill.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accountability.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate risk, make sound underwriting decisions, build agency relationships, and help drive profitable growth across the region.
• Work closely with Distribution partners, business leaders, and agency stakeholders to identify opportunities, support retention efforts, and deliver exceptional service.
• Travel throughout the territory to meet with agency partners and attend industry events as needed.
• Participate in virtual meetings and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders.
