Job summary

Maine Staffing Group is seeking a Provider Service Representative I for a 5-month assignment in Portland, Maine. You will serve as the primary contact for healthcare providers, handling inquiries about benefits, eligibility, plan coverage and claims with accurate, courteous service.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of customer service experience, a High School Diploma, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience required.
• Previous medical billing, healthcare customer service, or health insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer inquiries from providers with accurate information on health plan and Medicare programs.
• Educate providers on policies, procedures, and self-service resources.
• Research and respond to provider inquiries with timely resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve provider concerns.
• Follow up with providers when issues cannot be resolved initially.
• Maintain knowledge of current policies, procedures and resources.
• Accurately document all provider interactions per requirements.
• Build positive relationships with providers through professional communication.
