Job summary

ISC - Interconnect Solutions Company in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Technical Training Manager to design and deliver hands-on and classroom training for production personnel, aligned with IPC, safety, and quality standards. The role reports to the Director of Quality and partners with Manufacturing and Engineering to identify skill gaps, implement training programs, and measure effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering hands-on training on the production floor.
• Proven ability to design, develop and deliver training programs in classroom and shop floor formats.
• Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620) and related certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders and assembly documentation.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to train diverse audiences.
• Experience supporting Lean, 5S and Gemba initiatives on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs in classroom and shop floor formats across ISC facilities.
• Conduct new hire onboarding training on workmanship standards, safety, quality expectations, and ISC processes.
• Deliver recurring training based on certification schedules and operational needs.
• Maintain a training calendar and coordinate with Manufacturing leadership to minimize disruption.
• Adapt training to diverse learning styles, including visual, hands-on, and written formats.
• Track training records and certifications for personnel at all sites.
• Deliver IPC workmanship training covering IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and IPC-7711/7721 as applicable.
• Administer IPC certification testing and manage renewal schedules.
• Serve as on-site IPC SME and support non-conformance investigations.
• Lead Lean, 5S training and Gemba walk training for supervisors and leads.
• Document Lean training outcomes and tie improvements to training initiatives.
