Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Technical Purchasing Professional to source and manage a defined supplier and product portfolio, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality components for production and operations.

You will lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and commodity strategy implementation while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Central Purchasing to ensure seamless material availability and optimized total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
• Alternatively, extensive technical and purchasing experience in a relevant industrial environment.
• Several years of professional experience in technical purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supplier management in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record in cost optimization and supplier development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Source components for a defined supplier and product portfolio with quality, cost, delivery, and performance targets.
• Ensure seamless material availability and on-time delivery for production.
• Lead contract, pricing, and logistics negotiations to achieve best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
• Track supplier KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop local commodity strategies with Commodity Management and Central Purchasing.
• Provide technical purchasing support during component selection and make-or-buy decisions.
• Identify and realize cost-saving opportunities with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Logistics, and Finance for alignment.
