Job summary

Crossfire is assisting in staffing a Technical Program Manager for an enterprise Agile delivery focus in NY. Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Create regular status updates, organize meetings, and foster collaboration.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, communication plans, and SOPs.
• Identify potential risks, conduct assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Guide teams through complex technical challenges while staying aligned with objectives.
• Define program KPIs reflecting delivery velocities.
• Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and realign expectations to meet objectives.
• Ensure complex technology projects are delivered successfully and aligned with business goals.
• Govern Azure DevOps environments for visibility across development teams and codebases.
• Configure ADO boards, sprint metrics, dashboards, and automated workflows.
• Recommend process improvements based on best practices.

Work Setup: Hybrid – On-site at least twice per week
Contract Length: 1 Year

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager - Enterprise Agile Delivery to lead cross-functional delivery of complex enterprise-wide software solutions, including the Building Energy Usage Portal. This role oversees project planning, execution, compliance, data-platform operations, and stakeholder alignment across engineering, utilities, and regulatory partners.

Technical Program Manager Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with customer needs, business goals, and project requirements.
• Create regular status updates, organize meetings, and foster collaboration.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, communication plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify potential risks, conduct assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Guide teams through complex technical challenges while maintaining focus on project goals.
• Define program KPIs that accurately reflect delivery/sprint velocities.
• Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and realign expectations as needed to meet objectives.
• Ensure that complex technology projects are delivered successfully, while maintaining alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Govern Azure DevOps (ADO) environments to maintain high visibility across multiple development teams and codebases.
• Configure ADO boards, sprint metrics, dashboards, and automated workflows to match complex, regulated delivery milestones.
• Recommend process improvements based on best practices and industry standards.
• Lead Agile/SCRUM Meetings (Ex. Daily Standups; SoS; Sprint Planning; Sprint Retro, PI Planning, etc.).

Technical Program Manager Required Skillset

• 10+ years digital or software project management experience.
• Technical proficiency using Azure DevOps as a primary program-tracking and Agile framework deployment tool.
• Proven track record of guiding distributed software teams through complex, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience working with data product development.
• Experience working with vendor products, complex system solutions, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and technology decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of project management and software development methodologies and tools, including Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, SDLC, DevOps, and SAFe.
• Ability to promote a customer-focused team that maintains high work and ethical standards.
• Relentless focus on delivering a +1 customer experience.
