Job summary

A national AmLaw 200 firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Tax, Trusts & Estates Practice Group. This hybrid role focuses on advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate planning, tax strategy, and trust administration across multiple jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an ABA-accredited school, 3+ years in tax, trusts, and estates, and an LL.M. is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive experience in tax, trusts and estates.
• LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is strongly preferred.
• Experience counseling on estate planning, trust and estate administration.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate, gift and income tax planning strategies.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments.
• Assist with probate and trust administration matters and fiduciary accounting.
• Coordinate with advisors to implement planning strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex tax and estate issues.
• Participate in client meetings and develop long-term planning strategies.
