Mercer Advisors in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Tax Support Specialist to support our in-house Income Tax team. You will assist with client tax documents, tax return assembly, and electronic filing, while maintaining data accuracy and a high level of client service.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task during peak season. Strong communication and discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in administrative or assistant roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proven customer service orientation and team collaboration.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to multi-task under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Go-to for client facing and non-client facing administrative tasks related to tax.
• Assist with workflow management and data integrity through reports.
• Provide process improvement suggestions.
• Coordinate with tax team and Manager, Tax Operations for timely client correspondence.
• Communicate with clients professionally to ensure high-quality service.
• Handle client invoicing for services.
• Process tax returns shipping, scanning and assembling documents.
• Assist with peak tax season projects to boost performance.
• Perform other general administrative duties as needed.
