Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Senior to join our client in Chandler, Arizona. This role focuses on preparing complex tax returns and delivering proactive tax planning and advisory services to a diverse client base.

This is a hybrid position with a base salary up to $105K. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting, with a Master’s in Taxation or CPA license preferred, and 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s in Taxation or CPA license preferred.
• 3+ years of recent tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Perform technical tax research and document findings.
• Manage and prioritize multiple client engagements and deliver high-quality service in a timely manner.
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff and interns.
• Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and responsiveness.
• Assist with IRS and state tax audits and correspondence.
• Stay up to date with changes in tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Use tax software and technology tools effectively to improve efficiency.
