Job summary

ATR is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our growing tax practice in Alpharetta, GA. This role requires 2+ years of public accounting tax experience and offers a hybrid schedule (three days onsite in Alpharetta and two days remote) with full comprehensive benefits.

You will prepare federal and state returns, manage multiple engagements, and advise on tax planning strategies while collaborating with managers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Experience preparing business and individual income tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
• CPA or EA license preferred or actively pursuing CPA/EA certification.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, corporations, and other business entities.
• Manage multiple tax engagements while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• Assist with tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liabilities and achieve financial objectives.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, address questions, and resolve tax-related issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on complex tax projects and client engagements.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulatory changes.
