Job summary

Awana is seeking a Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist to source exceptional talent, facilitate hiring, onboarding, and retention, and align hires with our ministry's values.

This full-time hybrid role is based in St. Charles, IL, requires 5+ years in sourcing/interviewing, and involves 10-15% travel; you will partner with leaders, manage offers, onboarding, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in sourcing, interviewing, and candidate selection with proven retention.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (HR, Ministry Leadership or related).
• PHR/SHRM-CP or similar certifications a plus.
• Experience with ATS and HRIS; ADP Workforce Now familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source, Recruit, and Onboard Awana Team Members (50%).
• Develop, implement and utilize effective sourcing and recruiting strategies.
• Partner with hiring managers to lead the interview, evaluation and hiring processes.
• Care for the applicant experience with high responsiveness.
• Travel as needed to connect with prospective team members.
• Assist in developing offers and onboarding activities.
• Maintain dashboards and analytics on hiring, turnover, and retention.
