Job summary

Motion Applied is seeking a Systems Engineer to analyze, design, and implement advanced systems across transportation markets. You will work under Senior Engineers, contributing to requirements capture, test planning, and deployment.

The role involves on-site collaboration and ongoing learning within a dynamic, cross-functional team. Ideal candidates will have a computing background, strong systems skills, and experience with Linux, LAN/WAN networking, and programming with version control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other highly quantitative field.
Experience analyzing and implementing systems with hardware, embedded software, application software and mechanical components.
An understanding of communications systems in transport or related industry.
Experience with LAN/WAN networking and IT Network Operations.
Experience with programming skills, including working with version control tools.

Responsibilities

Analyze and design end-to-end systems across multiple market segments, including transportation.
Provide technical input from needs elicitation through to test & verification planning.
Contribute to system architecture and roadmap alongside UK Systems Engineering team.
Assist in pre-sales and proposals with technical presentations and product demonstrations.
