Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineer II in Phoenix, AZ, hybrid schedule with duties spanning design, development, testing, and certification of flight control systems. You will work within the Flight Systems department reporting to the Sr Engineering Program Manager, contributing to avionics development across BRGA programs.

The role emphasizes requirements management, integration and verification, with collaboration across disciplines and emphasis on safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 2 years of Systems Engineering or related experience, with experience in Integrated Software Systems.
• Working knowledge of requirements, integration, and verification.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, integration, and verification of avionics systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system requirements, ensuring they are well-defined, complete, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and execute test plans, analyze test results, and drive corrective actions.
• Perform system integration and testing to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards.
• Support troubleshooting and issue resolution during development and testing.
• Support the certification process for flight controls systems.
