Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a highly technical team supporting the UK National Air Traffic Services program. The role focuses on modernizing a mission-critical Flight Data Processing system, improving reliability and performance within the NATS ecosystem.

You will translate customer needs into detailed requirements, develop system/subsystem specifications, and collaborate with software, integration, and testing teams throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, CS, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Experience delivering system and subsystem requirements and formal specifications (SSS/SRS).
• Experience in structured or formal systems engineering lifecycle and DOORS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Systems Engineer supporting a complex, mission-critical ATM modernization program.
• Provide technical leadership in development and review of systems engineering work products.
• Contribute to modernization of air traffic control capabilities and data exchange/processing improvements.
• Act as a key technical interface between internal teams and external customers.
• Lead Requirements Reviews, technical Working Groups, and customer discussions.
• Translate high-level user stories and customer needs into clear system and software requirements.
• Develop and maintain A-Level SSS and B-Level SRS.
