Job summary

GPL Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to support production-critical infrastructure for media and entertainment clients. The role focuses on firewall administration, networking, and enterprise storage to ensure secure, scalable systems.

The ideal candidate is an infrastructure generalist with hands-on Fortinet and Palo Alto experience, strong network design skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to clients. Some travel to LA-area locations is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto firewall administration.
• Strong background in network design, administration, and troubleshooting in high-performance environments.
• Experience supporting Media & Entertainment workflows.
• Experience with hypervisors including VMware vSphere and Proxmox.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as PowerScale, Qumulo, NetApp, or similar.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to operate independently.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise firewall environments (Fortinet and Palo Alto).
• Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure environments using Cisco, Arista, and Dell technologies
• Support and optimize enterprise storage systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues across multi-site environments.
• Engage directly with clients to provide technical guidance and responsive support.
• Contribute to infrastructure planning, architecture improvements, and long-term optimization strategies.
