Apex Systems is seeking a Network Security Engineer in Plano, TX (Hybrid) to design, implement, and support enterprise network security solutions. You will translate business requirements into secure technical designs, manage firewall and proxy configurations, and collaborate across architecture, engineering, and client teams.

The role requires 5–10 years in network/security roles, hands-on Fortinet/Check Point experience, and familiarity with content inspection technologies.

Formación

• 5–10 years of experience in Network Services or Security.
• Hands-on firewall experience with Fortinet and Check Point.
• Experience with proxy/Content Filtering infrastructure.
• Experience with Radware/Alteon/FireEye content inspection.
• Knowledge of Kerberos, LDAP, SSO, and AD.

Responsabilidades

• Manage network security service requests across firewall, proxy, and malware/content filtering platforms.
• Analyze requests to understand requirements and schedule changes.
• Translate requirements into designs aligned with security standards.
• Create/modify firewall rules, NAT rules, and object groups.
• Perform design validation and peer reviews in non-prod environments.
• Support Change Management processes and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and clients for production support.
• Act as SME for network security technologies.
• Contribute to automation and templates.
