Job summary

Nightwing seeks a hybrid Systems Engineer / Dev Engineer / DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, automate pipelines, and work with software teams to release code safely and quickly.

The role blends hardware stability, software development mindset, and automation focus, with responsibilities across cloud environments, IaC, CI/CD, scripting, containers, monitoring, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments with strong troubleshooting and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud environments (AWS) and on-premises servers using IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Write scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and internal tools to automate operations and integrate backend systems.
• Package applications into containers using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes.
• Instrument observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog and set up real-time alerts.
• Collaborate with software developers and IT operations to design fault-tolerant architectures.
• Enforce security best practices, manage secrets, scan container images, and control access.
