Nightwing is seeking a hybrid Systems Engineer / Dev Engineer / DevOps Engineer to design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work with software teams to automate, test, and release code safely and quickly.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Operating Systems: Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
• Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, or Go) and shell scripting (Bash or PowerShell).
• Version Control: Git and collaborative workflows.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Container Tools: Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Mindset: Automation-first, problem-solving, collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Systems Management: Provision, configure, and maintain cloud environments (AWS) and on-premises servers using IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
• CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Software & Scripting Development: Write Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripts and internal tools to automate tasks.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Use Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Monitoring, Logging & Reliability: Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog; set alerts and diagnose failures.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with developers and IT ops; review PRs and design fault-tolerant systems.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce security best practices, manage secrets, and scan container images.
