Job summary

Geocgi is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the IT Department in a hybrid setup at our Alexandria, VA HQ with two days remote from home. The role covers on‑premise and cloud IT operations, server and identity administration, endpoint management, onboarding, and cybersecurity tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of hands‑on IT experience, knowledge of Windows and Linux, and familiarity with Microsoft 365 GCC High, Entra ID, and AD services.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a DoD Secret Clearance in future assignments.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience in similar IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers, M365 GCC High, Entra ID, and AD services.
• Perform routine system health checks, backups, patching, and configuration updates.
• Provide Tier 1–2 helpdesk and desk-side support for laptops, servers, accounts, applications, printers, connectivity, and collaboration tools.
• Coordinate onboarding: devices, accounts, security enrollment, and first-day setup for new hires.
• Assist with recurring CMMC maintenance tasks and document evidence and actions.
• Monitor endpoint enrollment and SIEM status; investigate missing or unhealthy devices.
• Maintain accurate records, inventory, tickets, and technical procedures.
