Job summary

Kaiva Tech, LLC in Rockville/Silver Spring, Maryland is seeking a Systems Administrator to join a hybrid, mostly remote team supporting FDA.gov infrastructure.

The role entails administering Linux systems, cloud services in AWS, Drupal CMS on a LAMP stack, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring secure, scalable operations for a high-traffic public site with hundreds of contributors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or related field.
• 10+ years of systems administration or IT operations experience.
• Experience with Linux, SOLR, ElasticSearch; installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with Akamai CDN and Drupal hosting platforms (Acquia) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems and cloud services (AWS) and Drupal CMS on LAMP.
• Manage infrastructure: client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
• Perform help desk support and issue resolution.
• Analyze complex problems across servers, applications and integrations.
• Plan capacity and optimize system operations and resources.
• Maintain system integrity and network components; report escalated issues.
