Job summary

Aflac Incorporated is seeking a Sustainability Intern for the Global Investments team in New York. The 10-week hybrid program offers hands-on experience with data analysis, investment research, and collaboration with senior staff within the U.S.

Chief Investment Office. Applicants should be pursuing finance, economics, statistics, or data-related fields with a strong analytical background, good communication skills, and the ability to work in the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Degree focus in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Data or Business Analytics, Sustainability Management or similar.
• Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Basic understanding of financial statements.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Eligible to work permanently in the U.S. and reside in the continental U.S.
• Hybrid work schedule – minimum of 3 days/week.

• Support portfolio analysis and data-driven insights.
• Assist in investment research and market monitoring.
• Develop and present analytical projects to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Global Investments.
