Job summary

Ruan is now hiring a Managed Transportation Intern for Summer 2027. This full-time internship will work a mix of on-site at our downtown Des Moines campus and remote.

The role teaches routing optimization, carrier tracking, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact Ruan and its customers. You will apply college knowledge, develop communication skills, and collaborate with internal and external teams.

This position is temporary, nonexempt/hourly.

Responsibilities

• Learn routing optimization, carrier tracking, and work on continuous improvement projects within the transportation business.
• Support interns' exposure to a variety of projects and activities in transportation.
• Apply knowledge learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace.
• Work closely with internal and external customers; strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
