Job summary

Shearer’s Foods in Massillon, OH is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Service Center. You will improve the efficiency of the supply chain through data collection, reporting and financial analysis, reporting to the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Finance in a hybrid Massillon environment.

You will prepare weekly and monthly supply chain reports, support monthly close activities, and explain variances against budget and forecast.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics.
Demonstrated high performance in Accounting Finance/Economics or Mathematics coursework.
Demonstrated high performance in Systems and/or Coding courses are a plus.
Exposure to Microsoft Excel functions and formulas are a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare weekly and monthly Supply Chain reporting, accurately and timely.
Support monthly financial close activities including preparation of general journal entries.
Prepare variance explanations for current period actuals versus budget, forecast and prior year.
Work closely with site Supply Chain Finance owners to ensure forecasts and budgets are entered timely and accurately into the system.
Maintain and/or prepare financial models that support decision making, cost structure optimization and margin improvement.
Identify and support process improvements, including the creation of standard as well as ad-hoc reports using primarily Excel.
Contributing to a high-performing Finance team; you and your manager will also focus on your own personal development and the development of your peers.
