Job summary

Seegrid seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure high quality, on‑time components for AMRs. The role assesses design decisions affecting performance, safety, and reliability, using statistics and industry standards to optimize supplier performance and ROI.

You will lead supplier quality efforts and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to maintain records and compliance. Residence in the Pittsburgh area is required with daily onsite presence at headquarters; remote work is possible

Qualifications

Must have 3+ years in supply chain or quality.
Broad knowledge of electronic components/assembly.
Experience with Six Sigma and Lean practices.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary supplier quality contact for new product introductions and daily ops.
Audit supplier processes for ISO/TQM compliance and statistical controls.
Ensure compliance with Seegrid requirements, change management, and training.
Maintain supplier evaluation and SCAR/NCM feedback systems.
Develop improvement plans with suppliers to meet metrics.
Resource, procedures, and QA for Tier 2 sub-suppliers.
Lead supplier selection and qualification activities.
Drive 8D problem solving with suppliers and failure analysis.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain on specs and traceability.
