Job summary

Independence Blue Cross is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead a team focused on benefits, medical policy and product operations enablement in a hybrid work model. You will oversee project evaluation, capacity planning, resource estimation, and timely responses to business partners, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years proven supervisor experience in operations, medical policy and product management.
• Experience with Client Setup, Benefits, Medical Policy and Claims is preferred.
• Ability to manage teams with tight deliverables.
• Strong communication skills for complex ideas to staff, management, vendors and external customers.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to define business solutions, make decisions, coordinate resources and implement changes.
• Ability to develop, plan, and create timelines and dashboards for senior management visibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team responsible for benefits, medical policy and product operations enablement.
• Evaluate projects, mandates, capacity plans and efficiency of department and allocate resources accordingly.
• Oversee ticket inventory to ensure timely resolution across client setup teams.
• Identify trends to improve quality and inform training and DLP needs.
• Synthesize data to develop a clear course of action from multiple sources.
• Develop timely, complete, and accurate responses to business partners.
• Collaborate with Operational leaders to identify business process improvement opportunities.
• Consider downstream impacts on claims processing, costs for self-funded customers, coding changes, compliance, and client satisfaction.
