Job summary

Zebra’s 2027 Summer Internship for a Mechanical Engineering student is based in Holtsville, NY, with hybrid work. You will contribute to the EMC Mechanical Development Team, using PTC Creo and AI-assisted workflows to explore designs and support testing of Zebra’s mobile computing devices.

Qualified applicants are enrolled in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program, with a 2027–2029 graduation window and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Anticipated graduation date between 2027 and 2029.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: fast learner with strong initiative and independent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work individually and on cross-functional teams to enhance engineering skills and complete projects.
• Work with PTC Creo for 3D modeling and design tasks.
• Learn design and manufacturing best practices.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate design exploration and data analysis.
• Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills.
• Increase technology knowledge related to Zebra's product portfolio.
• Manage team-based work assignments and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Practice interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts.
