Job summary

Socket.dev in Fresno is seeking an IT/Control Systems professional to join the hybrid team supporting transmission operations. You will collaborate with automation engineers to implement HMI graphical control schemes and support substation apparatus deployment in the PG&E territory.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of working with SCADA or other Process Control System in the Power Generation Industry.
• MS Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain Eaton HMI and related displays and devices.
• Perform Transmission & Distribution substation RTU commissioning with ADMS & EMS.
• Provide Tier 1 support for SCADA apparatus O&M.
• Monitor substations and maintain monitoring software.
• Support cyber security apparatus for critical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers/clients.
• Define scope and tasks to address issues with independent judgment.
• Work with limited supervision; contribute as a team member.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
