Job summary

Stefanini Group is seeking a Structural Engineer in South Plainfield, NJ, for a long-term contract with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). The role focuses on Outside Plant engineering for Electric T&D projects, requiring extensive civil/structural design, drawings, and field support.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Structural/Civil Engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience, NJ PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD/MicroStation, and structural analysis tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil/structural engineering experience on major projects.
• Experience in complex calculations and construction drawings.
• Design and detailing of steel transmission structures and foundations.
• Knowledge of subsurface geology and deep foundation design.
• NJ PE license and valid US driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced civil/structural calculations and analyses.
• Prepare construction drawings for steel, aluminum, concrete structures, and foundations.
• Design transmission structures and reinforce existing foundations.
• Provide field support and oversee junior engineers.
