Job summary

BETA Technologies in Vermont is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to develop and apply dynamic models for an advanced narrowbody aircraft. The role supports airframe and propulsion-integration design and will involve modal, vibration, aeroelastic, and test-correlation work.

Remote candidates may be considered for a hybrid setup with occasional visits to our South Burlington office. You will work with Loads, Aeroelasticity, Flight Controls, Propulsion, Stress, Design, Test, and Manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of structural dynamics, vibration, aeroelasticity, finite element analysis, or related test experience.
• Strong fundamentals in modal analysis, structural dynamics, and finite element methods.
• Experience with NASTRAN, FEMAP, MATLAB, Python, or comparable engineering tools.
• Ability to communicate technical results across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply structural dynamic models and analyses for an advanced narrowbody aircraft.
• Support airframe and propulsion-integration design through modal, vibration, aeroelastic, and test-correlation work.
• Convert analysis results into structural, mass-property, damping, and interface requirements.
• Document methods, assumptions, and results for technical reviews.
• Collaborate with Loads, Aeroelasticity, Flight Controls, Propulsion, Stress, Design, Test, and Manufacturing teams.
