Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a CAD designer to develop structural models and 2D drawings for steel structures and concrete foundations using CAD software. The role operates in a hybrid setup, with three days in the office and two days remote, and may include an attractive relocation package depending on location.

You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to resolve clashes in the 3D model, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards across

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred
• CAD certificate required if non-degreed
• Minimum of 5 years of experience required

Responsibilities

• Independently produce structural drawings that are completed on-time and within budget, while maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model, optimizing the overall design. Travel to client facilities may be necessary to verify on-site conditions.
• Adapt to a wide range of technologies across power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables, including carbon capture technologies, solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and natural gas.
