Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Bridge Engineer for our Glen Allen, Virginia office.

You will work with project teams on concepts through detailed designs for construction support, contributing to a portfolio of bridge projects. The position starts Spring/Summer 2027, with responsibilities spanning analysis, detailing, and coordination using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• Valid US Driver's License is required; must pass MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural analysis and design of highways, railways, and bridges.
• Prepare calculations, design reports, and documentation under guidance of senior engineers.
• Develop bridge plans using MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenBridge, or similar software.
• Support load ratings, inspections, and condition assessments of existing structures.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in field inspections and constructon observation.
