Job summary

e&e IT Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Manager for a hybrid direct placement in Pittsburgh, PA. This role focuses on strategic procurement across raw materials, components, and services, with emphasis on supplier development and cost optimization.

The successful candidate will own the full procurement lifecycle, work with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain, and travel domestically about 10% to supplier sites and manufacturing locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing raw materials, production components and related materials.
• Full procurement lifecycle knowledge: RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, PO issuance, expediting.
• Strong negotiation, relationship and contract management skills.
• Experience using ERP systems; familiarity with IFS, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Travel domestically ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for raw materials, components, capital equipment, and services.
• Lead RFQ development, supplier evaluation, negotiation, PO issuance and supplier management.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to improve pricing, quality, delivery, and performance.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and market research.
• Create and track purchase orders in the ERP system; expedite orders as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to support production schedules.
• Research suppliers and market conditions to identify opportunities.
• Resolve purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and supplier discrepancies.
