Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking a Financial Analyst, Management Reporting to support enterprise financial accounting through monthly close, dashboards, and KPI reporting.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, maintain financial models, analyze trends, and deliver actionable insights to drive strategic and operational decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in corporate finance or FP&A; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential in a hybrid Charlotte, NC workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or related analytical finance role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Advanced Excel skills with financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with SAP, Hyperion/Essbase or similar ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting packages.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities with insights.
• Partner with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and others to understand drivers and variances.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close reporting with variance analysis and commentary.
• Maintain and leverage financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and automation.
• Build cross-functional relationships to support informed business decisions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
