Job summary

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Boston, MA is seeking a Manager, Statistical Programming to join our Biostatistics and Statistical Programming team.

You will lead and perform statistical programming across studies, regulatory submissions, and development activities. You will develop ADaM specifications, SDTM/ADaM datasets, tables, listings, and figures, mentor junior programmers, and collaborate with Biostatistics, Data Management, Clinical Development, Medical Writing, and Regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• MS or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of statistical programming experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO settings.
• Strong SAS programming expertise with CDISC knowledge (SDTM/ADaM) and understanding of regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support statistical programming activities for assigned clinical studies, including development, validation, and quality control of analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures for study reports and submissions.
• Serve as a study lead programmer or programming representative, collaborating with Biostatistics, Data Management, Clinical Development, Medical Writing, Regulatory, and external vendors.
• Develop, review, and maintain ADaM specifications, TLF shells, programming documentation, reusable macros, and study-level programming standards.
• Provide input into protocols, SAPs, CRF design and annotation, edit checks, SDTM specifications, integrated data review, and submission strategy.
• Support regulatory submission readiness, including preparation and review of define.xml, reviewer guides, submission-ready datasets, and related documentation in CDISC formats.
• Identify programming risks, drive issue resolution, and recommend process improvements across studies and programs.
• Mentor junior programmers, oversee vendor deliverables, and help shape departmental standards and best practices.
