Job summary

The Family Institute at Northwestern University is seeking a compassionate Staff Therapist to join our Couple Services Team. This role provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families aligned with our clinical mission and core values.

We offer a hybrid work arrangement across Chicago area locations, with supervision and professional development opportunities, and a base salary with potential for variable compensation based on licensure and experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a license-eligible discipline is required.
• Minimum of one-year post-graduate experience.
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy that is empirically informed, theoretically grounded, culturally responsive, and relationally based.
• Perform mental health assessments and develop treatment plans with referrals when necessary.
• Document all services in the EHR within established timelines.
• Build and maintain a caseload by meeting unit targets.
• Obtain two years of clinical supervision with satisfactory evaluations.
• Collaborate with clients, external systems, colleagues, and staff in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Attend required supervision and meetings; participate in team and clinical services activities.
• Apply AI and/or automation tools to improve processes while maintaining ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
